a.s.r. issued new share capital as part of the transaction with Aegon
The 63,298,394 newly issued ordinary shares by ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.) have been delivered to Aegon N.V. (Aegon) as part of the transaction with Aegon (the “Consideration shares”) and will be listed and admitted to trading on Euronext Amsterdam as of 6 July 2023.
The delivery of the shares to Aegon is part of the total consideration following the agreement on the business combination of a.s.r. and Aegon Nederland, which has been announced on 27 October 2022. Completion of the transaction took place on 4 July 2023.
With the issuance of the new share capital, the amount of issued and outstanding shares of a.s.r. is 211,065,001 ordinary shares, of which Aegon holds 29.99%.
The prospectus related to the listing of the consideration shares has been approved by the Dutch Authority for the Financial Markets (AFM) on 4 July 2023 and is available on the website of a.s.r.

Dat blijkt uit de jaarlijkse Gender Pay Gap analyse die dit jaar voor het eerst werd uitgevoerd voor de combinatie a.s.r. en Aegon Nederland. Uit het onderzoek blijkt dat a.s.r. aanzienlijk beter presteert dan het gemiddelde Nederlandse bedrijfsleven, waar de loonkloof in 2022 nog 6,9% was.

Met het commitment aan het FIT, blijft a.s.r. zich inzetten voor een duurzame en klimaatneutrale verzekeringssector.

18 apr 2024500 a.s.r.-medewerkers steken de handen uit de mouwen op eerste Doenkracht DonderdagVerspreid door heel Nederland komen op donderdag 18 april 500 a.s.r. medewerkers in actie tijdens Doenkracht Donderdag. Medewerkers leggen op deze dag hun reguliere werk neer en zetten zich in voor vrijwilligerswerk in 6 van de 7 vestigingssteden van a.s.r. De maatschappelijke organisatie van a.s.r., Doenkracht, heeft in en om deze steden contact met verschillende organisaties die hulp van buitenaf goed kunnen gebruiken. Het is de eerste keer dat a.s.r. deze dag organiseert, geïnspireerd door Aegon Nederland, dat ooit de Vrijwilligerswerk Vrijdag initieerde. De inzet voor maatschappelijke activiteiten is onderdeel van de missie van a.s.r. om mensen te helpen bewuste financiële keuzes te maken, zodat steeds meer mensen in Nederland financieel bewust, redzaam en weerbaar worden.
